"The Neurocognitive Pattern of Romanian Excellence" - BrainMap x FDVDR
×
Have you ever wondered what sets children's exceptional minds apart at the brain level?
The BrainMap Institute is running, together with the Dan Voiculescu Foundation for the Development of Romania, the national study “The Neurocognitive Pattern of Romanian Excellence” – a large-scale brain mapping project dedicated to some of the highest-performing and most promising children in Romania, members of the “100 Young People for the Development of Romania” campaign.
It is applied research, based on real neurofunctional data, which seeks to understand what the brain of early performance looks like, beyond results and diplomas.
About the project
The goal of this project is the neurofunctional analysis of children with exceptional performance, in order to identify:
- brain patterns associated with accelerated learning
- mechanisms of emotional and cognitive self-regulation
- particularities of attention, creativity and mental flexibility
- real differences between intuited potential and measured potential
The project does not aim to select or rank children, but to understand the neurological mechanisms that support performance and how they can be protected and developed in a healthy way.
It is an educational and scientific endeavour, not a competition.
Why these children's brains are being mapped – and what this means for your child
In clinical practice we frequently see very intelligent children who:
- get bored quickly at school
- seem “inattentive”, even though they understand quickly
- are emotionally intense or perfectionist
- get mentally tired faster than other children
Visible performance does not tell the whole story.
Brain mapping shows how the brain behind the results works: where natural resources exist and where vulnerabilities appear which, if left unaddressed, can limit long-term development.
Every child has a unique brain fingerprint
School performance, emotional regulation, impulsivity or anxiety do not appear out of nowhere.
They are supported by specific neural networks, which can be assessed and understood.
A correctly performed neurofunctional assessment can provide:
- clarity about the learning style
- explanations for attention difficulties
- an understanding of the level of emotional self-regulation
- identification of areas of cognitive potential
Instead of labels, we offer explanations.
Instead of assumptions, we offer measurements.
Beyond the results, there are real stories
Within the project, the BrainMap team interacted directly with exceptional children, offered them recognition and analysed the neurofunctional data behind their performance.
Clinical expertise applied in the paediatric field
At the BrainMap Institute we carry out complex brain mapping assessments, using validated protocols and specialised clinical interpretation.
The BrainMap assessment for children includes:
- a detailed analysis of brain activity
- differential interpretation
- correlation with behavioural manifestations
- personalised intervention recommendations
We do not diagnose at random. We do not promise miracles. We build interventions based on the child's real profile.
Do you want to better understand how your child's brain works?
If you are wondering:
- why they learn easily in some subjects and get stuck in others
- why they react disproportionately on an emotional level
- why they are always on the move or always withdrawn
A neurofunctional assessment can bring clarity.
Brain mapping does not apply labels. It offers direction.
What happens after the assessment
Following the assessment you will receive:
- a detailed report, explained in a way you can understand
- a clear summary of vulnerabilities and resources
- personalised recommendations
- brain training options, where necessary
The decision to continue the intervention is yours. Our role is to provide accurate information and validated solutions.
The BrainMap Institute is a centre specialised in:
- brain mapping
- neurofeedback
- cognitive and emotional optimisation interventions
- paediatric differential assessment
We work with scientifically validated protocols and strict ethical standards.
Your child's potential deserves to be understood.
